We meet at least once a month for an activity (dinner, event, etc..). We also do lunch or dinner and a movie at least once a month. We like the Quarry theaters, because there are lots of restaurants nearby, and the movie theater gives a military discount! There is not a set date of the month for the activities, and we try to arrange things a lots of different times to reach more people! Members are notified of the events by newsletter if we have enough notice, and also by email, especially for the lunch/dinner and a movie days.

Day Time Bunco is played the first Tuesday of every month at
11:00am---September thru May.
Different players are the hostess for each month. Each person is
requested to bring a dish to share and $5 to play. No
experience required----if you can throw the dice, you can play!!
The Book Club generally meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 11:00 a.m.
September-May. Our goal is to make a dent in Frank Zappa’s famous
quote, “So many books, so little time.”
Our conversation tone is relaxed, informal, and open-minded. The
meeting location is decided by each month’s volunteer hostess &
includes lunch.

Things will be different every month, from wood crafts, pictures,
jewelry, painting, mode podging, magnets....all sorts of neat things
that can be kept or given as gifts! You don't have to be creative,
artistic or even cut straight to be a part of the group! But if you
are crafty I can pick your brain for ideas!
I want to make this fun for everyone, and not only get to know each
other a little better but get to leave every meeting with something cute
you that you made yourself!

The "Bingo Angels" are members of our club who are willing to train and
then attend bingo in order to sell our cards. We currently sell two
games, one being played before intermission and one after. We sell our
cards for $1.00 each at regular bingo and $2.00 each for Big Bucks
bingo. The pay out to the winner of our games is half the money
we collect. The other half of the money goes towards our fundraiser.
The normal profit from each one of our games is about $15.00 to $25.00,
but over a years time, we usually earn about $3,000.00 from our
participation in bingo.
Our club has been allowed to use MWR sponsored bingo events as a place
to raise money for our scholarship and welfare funds. We average
$3,000 a year to put back in to the community.
MWR Bingo is currently played at the ACS/Roadrunner building on Stanley
Rd., while the Sam Houston Club is under renovation. Games are
held every Friday evening, starting at 6:55 PM and every Saturday
beginning at either 12:55 PM for regular bingo or 11:55 PM for Big Bucks
bingo, unless pre-empted by a military function.
